藝術總監 /  陳芝羽

         陳芝羽出生於高雄,曾就讀於新興國中及高雄中學音樂班,在校期間師事許秋苳老師。

         為奧地利國立維也納音樂暨表演藝術大學鋼琴演奏、鋼琴室內樂碩士與音樂學博士學位。

        曾在許多國際音樂大賽中獲獎,如:奧地利Korneuburg國際鋼琴大賽(1997)、奧地利Pörtschach 國際布拉姆斯音樂比賽室內樂组 (Internationaler Brahms-Musikwettbewerb Pörtschach, 2001)、德國Saarbrücken第五屆巴哈國際鋼琴大賽首獎 (Internationaler Klavierwettbewerb J. S. Bach, 2004),其於總決賽中所演出的郭德堡變奏曲被錄音播放於當地國家電台,並於2007年起定期受邀擔任巴哈國際鋼琴大賽大賽的評審。

         旅居國外期間曾多次於奧地利及德國舉辦個人獨奏會。並積極參與室內音樂會演出。

         回國後,陳芝羽亦活躍於不同領域的演出與推廣,例如:獲選2008年兩廳院樂壇新;2018年獲邀為高雄國際音響大展合作發行個人首張黑膠唱片。2019年發行個人首張CD。

         此外,芝羽亦為各界音樂家肯定合奏的優秀鋼琴家,例如:擔任維也納少年兒童合唱團來灣巡迴演出高雄場伴奏;並常與國內外音樂家合作演出室內樂,曾受邀至台東「利卡夢梅之宴」音樂季演出。自2016年起,她亦不定期受邀與慕恩室內樂團舉行海內外巡演。2019年創辦高雄國際鋼琴音樂節並擔任藝術總監一職。

        曾任維也納私立普萊納音樂院 (Prayner Konservatorium) 及私立舒伯特音樂院 (Schubert Konsevatorium)聲樂伴奏(2002-2004)。於2005返台後,現任教於國立高雄師範大學、國立屏東大學及台南應用科技大學等各音樂系。

Chih-Yu Chen was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She started playing piano at the age of four and later attended the Austrian National University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna where she was awarded master’s degrees in Piano Performance and Piano Chamber Music. In addition, Chen also specialises in academic fields and earned her PhD in Musicology at the same school. After graduating, Chen decided to follow and learn from Romanian pianist Meira Farkas to broaden her piano profession.

While in her earlier studies, Chen constantly won student competitions such as Austria Korneuburg International Piano Competition runner-up (1997), and after winning the First Prize of Germany Saarbrücken Fifth Bach International Piano Competition (2004), Chen has been invited as a regularly jury member since 2007. Additionally, she also held her recitals in Austria and Germany regularly during the time in Europe, which led her to become an experienced soloist on many occasions, including Brahms-Marathon in Vienna Concert Hall (Wiener Konzerthaus) in 1996, J.S. Bach’s 250th year anniversary of the death series at the Karajan Center, and Austrian National Radio (ORF) Performing Hall in 2000.

Being a genial chamber pianist, Chen has made musical collaborations with domestic and international musicians. She got the Excellence Award at the Brahms International Chamber Music Competition in Pörtschach in Austria. Chen had also worked in the private Prayner Konservatorium and Schubert Konsevatorium as a vocal accompaniment between 2002 and 2004. In 2005, she was the accompanist of the Vienna Children's Choir touring performances in Kaohsiung, working with numerous musicians: violinist Oleh Krysa, Christophe Boulier, Efim Zoubritski and Zhang Qun, cellists Dai Leewen and Zeng Jiayi, violist Lin Meiru, and flautist player Sun Li. Since 2016, she has also been invited to perform on tour with the Muen Chamber Orchestra abroad throughout the United States, Hong Kong, and Singapore as well as participating in the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra abroad. In 2018, Chen received an invitation from pianist Dr. Lei Minhong to perform as “The Pleasant Piano Duo” in Guangzhou.

Returning from overseas in 2005, Chen gives her passions and devotions to music teaching among several universities and music schools. Chen was awarded the “New Star” from the National Performing Arts Center and held her recital at the National Theatre and Concert Hall. In March 2009, she performed Beethoven Piano Concerto No.1 with the Kaohsiung City Youth Orchestra in the Cultural Center of Kaohsiung City. In November 2010, she published the Taiwanese composer Huang Futong’s piano works in Tainan. In 2017, she was invited to record a double gramophone record for Kaohsiung Audio Show, “We, Vienna,” with J.S. Bach’s masterpiece, full version of Goldberg Variations. In 2019, Chen, as the artistic director, founded the Kaohsiung International Piano Festival.
